On May 27, the core management of Dot SHANGBIAO Domain Registry visited U.S. Department of Commerce (USDC), and had a meeting with the representatives of National Telecommunications & Information Administration (NTIA) of USDC and United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Dot SHANGBIAO Domain Registry introduced to the representatives of U.S. Department of Commerce the development of Dot SHANGBIAO (Dot Trademark in Chinese), an online symbol based on Chinese IDN and targeted to trademark & brand holders. Also they introduced the development concept of Dot SHANGBIAO and the value it brings to global trademark holders on aspects of brand building and protecting on internet. After listening to the introduction of Dot SHANGBIAO Domain Registry, representatives of National Telecommunications & Information Administration (NTIA) of USDC and United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) approved the value of Dot SHANGBIAO as an internet brand symbol specialized to serve trademark holders, and gave many positive suggestions to Dot SHANGBIAO on establishing right protection mechanism for trademark holders.
