The DotTrademark Registry is pleased to announce that it will lower the minimum duration for new registration from 2 years to 1 year, effective from on 20 March 2017. This will facilitate trademark owners to protect and denote their trademark rights on the internet through registration and use of the Chinese verified Top Level Domain (TLD) “. 商标” (“DotTrademark”)  as a trusted and secured online portal to its official website.

In accordance with the updated Article 37 of the DotTrademark Registration Rules 2017, the applicable registration duration for new registration and renewal is from 1 - 10 years.
